Win some, lose some

We had a successful morning at the "Auslaenderbehoerde", the Foreigner's Department. Just saying that word is confidence-building. I was able to get my approval to stay in the country along with a coveted work permit. I even got a compliment on my German which was a major win. Along the way home, we saw part of the wall.

Later, we drove quite far to a Credit Union in the far west of the city to set up a new account. It was pouring rain but sunny upon arrival. Also upon arrival, this bank was closed early. Boo. But at least I saw a neat building facade along the way.
